FAQ
What is DealSnare all about?
Have you ever had your eye on a particular item that you really wanted but
wanted to wait for it to go on sale or drop in price before you bought it? If
so, chances are when it did go on sale you missed it anyway. DealSnare watches
items for you. It checks prices on thousands of items a day 24 hours a day, 7
days a week. When your item goes on sale it sends you an email with a link to
buy it. Now you'll never miss a sale again and save a lot of money!
What retailers do you support?
Right now, just Amazon.com but we will be adding others in the future.
First you need to create an account if you haven't already done so. Why do you
need an account? Well we need to know how to contact when you "Snare" a deal.
Next, go to our Search page and search for items to Snare. Just type your search
term in the box, choose a category in the drop down box to the right and then
click the "Search" Button.
After a few seconds (be patient Amazon has a lot of products to search through
it will take some time!) you will see a list of items that match your criteria.
If you choose "Set Snare" a red check mark will appear by the item letting you
know the snare has been set and then we'll watch this item for you and send you
an email when the price drops so you can buy it. Be quick though Amazon prices
can change very fast!
By default we'll let you know whenever an item drops even 1% but you can change
that for any single item by going to
MySnares.
Choose Edit for a particular snare you have set and set the "Price drop
Threshold (in Percent)" to whatever you want. Be sure to enter it as a decimal
(i.e. .50 = 50%). So if you only want to be notified if an item drops at least
10% in price enter .10 for example.
How can I delete a Snare?
Just go to the
MySnares
page and from there you can edit or delete any Snare you have set. You, of
course, must be logged in first.
What does Beta mean?
It means that we are still testing certain aspects of our software. We are far
enough along though that we are letting a large number of people begin to use
it. If you find any "bugs" please report them to
support@dealsnare.com
.
